I think because of the problems they had with open mail relays etc, it
wasn't an advertised fact that they had yet another SMTP server, that
probably wasn't secure.

I only found it by chance in the depths of a forum thread, while developing
a VB SMTP alerting app on my local PC's if any of our hosters servers or
sites went down.
