We run our own mail servers on one of the colo'd servers.. so haven 't
noticed the problems you mentioned.. the hops can get quite large, yes..
but generally it's an extremly fast connection they have..

I was working with legend when they first set out (I opened a
cybercafe/isp when I left Uni and used them for the circuit.. think I
was one of their first circuit customers).. and they have just got
bigger and bigger.. the backup is impressive as is their redundancy..
