Might have misled you a bit - when I said 'executables', I just meant the
perl programs themselves - the .pl or .cgi files or whatever you have.
There are so many different perl scripts available that do so many different
things it's very hard to say what the problem is - you'll probably be best
off either hassling up 1&1 in the morning (tuesday morning, come to think of
it!), or typing out a more detailed version of your problem and posting it
here - there's probably someone who can help. Problem is they're probably
all lying drunk next to their big leather chairs at the moment clutching a
half empty bottle of scotch due to the bank holiday weekend.
