FN-FORUM: [Slightly OT] PC Cases
date posted 1st September 2003 19:42
I am going to be putting together another PC in the next few weeks,
salvaging just the drives and externals (monitor, speaker etc.) from my
existing Dell. I've done a bit of digging around, and decided on a
motherboard that will support 266FSB CPU and memory for now (tight budget),
but will cope with faster (333/400FSB) if I upgrade later, and a well
balanced but cheapish graphics card (see below) but I am undecided about
cases. It's largely personal preference with these things, but I wondered
what folks had used to build systems and what they had been most impressed
with. I built a machine for my partner a few months back using a Suntek case
which was dead easy and seems pretty good, if a little flimsy, but
interested to hear other opinions.
In case anyone wants to know:
Asus A7N8X/Deluxe/GD motherboard
Athlon XP 2400+ CPU
Connect3D Radeon 9600
512MB PC266 Memory
Cheers
Adam
