You can use a dynamic ip address with a service like dns2go or dyndns, if
the worst comes to the worst.

The whois thing MAY work, if the domain is reged in the name of the Host.
You want to get the IP address of the site, and then do a RIPE search - try
using SamSpade - or you can always run a ping url...

I assume you want the service provider not who it is registered too.
You could try pinging it then do a reverse lookup on the IP, maybe tell you
