If you take self-confidence into account, I can see that both of you might
be right. With booze, you're probably less likely to notice the odd mistake
you make and so you can carry on as if nothing had happened, like a true
pro. I can see that being stoned might cause one to focus on small mistakes
and generally be less confident of one's abilities, leading to a downward
spiral...
