I don't see why you can't use the DLink's DHCP for the LAN. The fixed IP
address is surely just for the WAN side of the router. Everything should
work exactly as it did before. The last thing you want...

We have both Orange and T-Mobile now, we are so rural that neither cover all
the area.
We originally changed to Orange because for the last three years we have had
hassles abroad with T-Mobile assur...

Personally, I think O2 or Vodafone would be the way forward. O2 are possibly
a tiny bit more expensive overall but you get a great service from them. I
wouldn't go anwhere near Orange!

I get no problems with T-Mobile infact they just offered me a choice of 2
phones, 6 quid off monthly line rental or 99.99 off any other phone
providing I stay with them for another 12mnths.
