lol!
bud true moment there!

I've done my share of shitty flash. Actually I think the argument is moot
since flash is a delivery mechanism. I'm a developer and my content get's
served up as xml (generally). It is then available for delivery via Flash,
CSS (XSLT), or can even be printed onto bogroll.

What I'd like to see more of is: alternative delivery mechanisms for the same
content. If flash is detected, use flash. Where most content providers fall
down is in their failure to cover all possibilities. That's usually because
most budgets only cover one delivery mechanism. They take on a web dev firm
who puts their flash guy on the job and he makes a whiz bang flash app. Or
they put the developer on it and he produces HTML. Then the web dev firm
says: Job Done! But it aint. It's only half or quarter done since only one
eventuality has been covered.

I'd like to say that I always do the whole job properly. In fact, I rarely
find a client who wants the whole jobe done properly. Most are happy if they
can see it on *their* browser.
