Re: FN-FORUM: Alternative to Enterprise Manager
date posted 1st October 2003 19:50
enterprise manager lets you do all that!
manage multiple servers? right click on .microsoft sql servers' or 'sql
server group' and select 'new sql server registration'
copy tables to and from servers? use DTS - right click on the database
and select 'import/export data'
edit data manually? open a table and type.
really its that simple.
enterprise manager will let you do around 90% of everything you'll ever
need to do, rest of the time is when you need query analyzer to muck
about with some of the more nitty-gritty sprocs.
