oh, oops, i just re-read the article -
my initial impression was that it was simply the data files and
pointers that OSX libraries used that had been screwed up - i know
several people who have moved their 'home folder' onto external drives,
and then wonder why the system screws up on them!!
if the problem is the actual data, i.e. MP3's and/or other files being
wiped, that's a huge problem!
i didn't have my Lacie drives plugged in when i upgraded :-)
