Re: FN-FORUM: OT Film/Movie Scenes
date posted 28th November 2003 14:24
Marathon Man - "Is it safe?" (poor Dustin Hoffman)
Texas Chain-saw Masacre (the original film) - "Anyone for more
barbecue?" - then later realising the guy offering it is a cannibal! :(
A Clockwork Orange - just way ahead of its time and never before (or
since) have Beethoven, milk and extreme violence been combined with
such an intelligent and though-provoking plot. (Pick any scene - it is
all good, if upsetting)
American History X - again thought-provoking, bit far-fetched and
gloomy, but brilliant acting from Edward Notron. (The closing scenes,
but they don't mean much without the rest of the film)
Buffalo 66 - The opening scene (about 15 mins) where Billy (Vincent
Gallo), released from jail, has the call of nature, but the guard won't
let him back in to use the loo - his desire to relieve his tension
leads him through increasingly desperate situations including
kidnapping Leyla (Christina Ricci) from her tap dancing class. You'll
never (hopefully) encounter a more dysfunctional family than Billy's.
