yep, that's the point - i want the bar aligned to bottom... and it
won't in IE on Mac if I use 'bottom' property - in fact the bar doesn't
appear at all if i use that! (only in IE on mac though......

Yeah, you're correct, it is an access file. So I guess I need to phone
their host and ask them to change the file permissions on the IUSR_machine
