Actually getting the pop-up screen requesting username, password and domain.
This problem is still happening. I get the same problem with Netscape 7.1

Are you actually getting to the password screen? I've got access to an old
Win98 machine that does not accept the authentication mode but have had no
trouble with W2K IE6.

Bear in mind that if you are connecting the Router straight into an old
fashioned hub, you may have to use a crossover cable.

Thanks Pete. The switch ports and cables work fine with a workstation on
the LAN. Just the 652 does not like any combination of switch port or
