JavaScript popups can be useful, IMO. Help boxes on web forms are one
application that comes to mind. If you're going to use them then make sure
that you read:
http://www.youngpup.net/?request=/articles/how-to-create-popups.xml
These popups work even if JS is turned off. If the user wants to have the
popup appear as intended then the left-click. If they want it in a new,
fully-featured browser window then they right-click.
