Re: FN-FORUM: Objective, Constructive, kick-me-in-the-pants criticism required please!

I have mixed opinions on the new window issue. I generally DO use it
for external links, because I DO want to link to other sites, being
useful, and SEO-friendly, but essentially DON'T want people leaving
the site, which is what happens when people get distracted.
I agree it's a shame about the back button and that the problem is
worse on full-screen browsing. However I think that so few 'average'
users actually know (or care?) about opening new windows with
shift-click (or ctrl in some browsers) that until they know about this
I'll usually do it for them.
