Ok I am back from being out so I'll probably readf this in the morning &
slap my head but I've just had a revelation! I totally forgot that I'm
ambidextrous & that probably explains why it doesn't bother me that I do
have to use my right & left hand..

Yes.. My point exactly. Why have hundreds of keys when a modifier key can
double the number of keys you have. Hence we don't have 432 key keyboards.

I'm not disagreeing with you as I said I use a multi-button mouse & do find
it more useful than a single button mouse, but it really isn't that much
harder to use both hands, but then see my "revelation"..
