I've been pleased with the service I've had from demon on both 56k
dialup and 64k ISDN. If you combine their packages with BT Surftime
packages on the phonebill you can end up with effectively unmetered
access (although you do pay for it :/ - substantially more than an ADSL
connection would cost for example)

Occasionally they suffer from packet loss but 99% of the time the
service is solid.

For 0845 dialup I use and recommend www.titandial.net - very easy to
register and it's a simple phone number and un/pw combination - no fancy
disks or unwanted dialer (etc) software. Downside is that they don't do
any unmetered rates, just 0845.
