FN-FORUM: V. newbie!!
date posted 14th January 2004 16:03
I hope you don't mind me writing to you all here but I am trying to start up
as a Freelance Internet Researcher, I am currently studying for a part time
MA in English and Comparative Studies at the University of Warwick so have
access to good Research facilities as well as having had many years of basic
research skills.
However, other than academic research I am a novice to the ways of Internet
Research but am more than willing to apply myself. I have written and
attached my profile but still do not seem to be receiving any joy from the
people I write too.. I have tried phoning around several government
institutions offering my services, as well as perusing job boards etc. As
of yet I have not been able to pick up any work.
Could I possibly ask for your advice? Do you know of any ways/areas I
should be strictly concentrating on to generate work? I feel that I could
make a very good research and I thoroughly enjoy rooting out information.
Furthermore, my skills as an excellent communicator should enable me to find
success as a Freelance Internet Researcher, but I'm clearly doing something
wrong!!! Your advice would be gratefully received.
I'm sorry for taking up your time but would love to start turning my
business into a success so am taking drastic action:-)
Best Wishes,
Emma Trehane
