Advice taken and heeded, thanks Paul:-)
A Freelance Internet Researcher can carry out many different types of
research. For example, say the government are looking into digitalising
health or environmental records, someone would have to look into how
successful this has been in other countries, to publish the initial findings
etc.... Developing electronic resources in various libraries around the
world would call for someone to investigate into who would use these
facilities and who would benefit from the venture; is it worthwhile etc.....
Once statistics are accumulated, these results need to be laid out in report
and graph form and presented to the contractor and sometimes published in
full in academic journals.
On the other hand, a research job could involve doing Internet searches for
Genealogy Enthusiasts, Academics, or Writers, general fact checking etc....
The beauty of the work is that it is ever changing and rarely dull.
Ciao,
Emma
