FN-FORUM: [OT] Video Card for video editing, recommendations?

Hi folks,

Sorry for the slightly off topic posting but we have touched upon this
topic in the past and you are such cool dudes that I didn't think you'd mind.

I'm looking for a new graphics card to supply to a client who used to have
a Matrox Marvel in a 4 year old machine, but the card seems to have died.
It wont display anything > 640x480.

We want it for simple video editing - and have a bunch of software which
came with the original card. Any recommendations for a replacement card, or
card and software deal?

I guess that the original card is AGPx2 but presumably I can buy a AGPx4 -
just not get the advantage in speed unless I put it in a newer machine.

(We're digitising some lectures when it works again)
