Replace space space with space (Repeat until all gone)
Replace full stop with endchar full stop
Replace space with endchar space beginchar
Replace paragraph mark with endchar paragraph mark beginchar
Replace full stop endchar with full stop (Repeat until all gone)
You'll get a few duplicates but you can edit manually if the doc isn't too
long.
If you need to do it more than once, use a macro.
