Aye, IME the bigger the company the more paranoid they tend to be.
Another thing you might want to look for is Server.CreateObject - this is
another way of doing ActiveX, although if it was just ActiveX causing the
problem IE would give you a specific warning, something like "This page
contains ActiveX content which is not permitted under your current security
settings ..."
