Mike, if you have been working for a web agency permanently then I assume
you have been involved with developing some sites? The why not advertise
them?

Yep, sorry to say but your wrong Pete.
I didn't think I'd have to post a CV inorder to get
some help, but heres a brief summary:
I've worked for 2 years developing websites at a web
agency and after that worked for a software
development company for 1 year developing mobile phone
operating systems.
The reason I am thinking about freelancing, is because
I have just come back from travelling for a year and
feel that it may be opportune moment for me to start
freelancing instead of getting back into a permanent
position.
I don't know how long you've been working for Peter,
but you come across as a bit of a "Been there, done
it, who are you for me too pass on my invaluable
knowledge to".
To be honest I'd rather get more valuable advice from
the more helpful posters.. Richard thank you.
An indians not bad, but chinese is my thing. :)
