RE: FN-FORUM: Buying PCs from eBay

Not personally, but my mate 'bought' a laptop for his parents a few months
back and never received it. Neither e-bay nor the police nor the bank were
interested in doing anything about it, even though (from recollection) they
had details of the seller's address, etc. The only advice I could give
would be to check the seller's "rating" on e-bay to establish how reliable
they're liable to be.

Subject: FN-FORUM: Buying PCs from eBay
Hi guys
I'm eyeing a pretty tasty set up at a bargain price. The only thing is on
it's ebay. Anyone had any problems buying PCs from ebay before?
