That my next trick I'll give that ago in the morning taking one stick
out, I have 2 512's. If I get new memory do they both have to be at the
same speed?

I am presuming you don't have a 1 gig stick.

Have you tried taking out one of the memory sticks and seeing if its
just one stick?
