FN-FORUM: SQL Data Retrieval..
date posted 1st March 2004 16:58
Hi All,
Got a situation here I'm hoping that someone can help me with...
I accidentally overwrote a database (SQL 2000) I'd created a few weeks ago
and all the data has been wiped - now I have a backup of a week ago and I
have restored that which has given me most of the data, however I can't get
anything newer..
I've found a SQL *.LDF which I believe to be the SQL Log Data File.. I've
opened it and can see in there the data that was written last week (or at
least most of it) - is there a program or SQL SP that I can use to get this
data out of the LDF file - obviously, I don't have the MDF file, otherwise I
could restore it......
Any help / pointers to info would be muchly appreciated.
Cheers,
Carl W Crawley
