Having consulted my asshole, I've been told that it's not arrogant...it
genuinely DOES know more than quite a few other people...:-)

Seriously, we're not all like that and the vast majority of us try and give
sensible, balanced advice. I rarely comment on site design issues because I
have the design capabilities of 'three blind hedgehogs in a bag', but will
chip in on other issues.

If we're in to giving advice for free, a lot gets given out here. Just
F.Y.I., I wrote my first HTTP related project in 1993/94, similar sort of
timescale to you, though I was using the protocol directly rather than
designing sites at that time. My first site development came in about a
year or so later.

A lot of helpful hints are given - quite a few off forum as well as on
forum. Also, I'd probably think that most newbies with the guts to put up a
site for criticism / comment have also got the balls to tell us when we've
pissed 'em off.

Anyway...I'm now crabby. My broadband connection only just came back and
I'm suffering form Cold Turkey...:-)
