Tell me about it! We used to just flag the subject line with a {spam}
tag and let the user filter them out, but now there's no way of even
knowing that legitimate mail is being blocked unless (like Andy) they
take the trouble to find another way to contact you.

Apart from confirming the email address, it also adds more traffic to
the networks. Stupid!

Wasn't my policy decision though I'm afraid!
