FN-FORUM: CSS Help! IE 5 on Mac crapness
date posted 3rd August 2004 19:15
Hi all,
For my most recent torture test I was asked to build a site in a couple
of weeks after the previous developer ran off to South Africa (I'm not
kidding). I've got the site working there but the end client is damned
IE5 Mac user. The site is: http://www.winesofsa.com and just in case
any css experts [waves at Tony!] want to see what it does in IE5/Mac a
screenie is here:
http://www.winesofsa.com/images/stories/content/ie5mac_argh.jpg
It's just that one story that breaks and I have no idea why. I have an
IE5 only style sheet linked in to fix a few other oddities.
For anyone that's interested its a heavily hacked version of Mambo
(xMambo infact but it won't validate cos there ain't enough time to fix
all the little niggles). Mambo is good but I wish they'd built it using
templates... it's vile once you go under the hood a little. I'm now
looking at Drupal...
I'm not sleeping until this is fixed (apparently)...
Cheers
George
