yeah, of course if they are paying, you have to give them what they
want. just a knee jerk reaction to spending unnecessary unpaid hours
getting a page working in something that is only viewed by 2% of the
population. (or whatever the current statistic is... and yes, i know
statistics are evil!)

uhh. that sucks..

i just had this out with someone yesterday - he is the designer who
gave me a photoshop doc to make 'go' for his client. the client is
completely happy and paid up in full on delivery (which was nice) but
my design friend is complaining that the page is screwed up in IE5 on
Mac OS9. as much as i sympathize that he can't see his design in it's
'full glory', i also pointed out that it may be time for him to upgrade
to OSX and use a different browser as he is using two technologies that
are, frankly, dead!

of course he didn't buy my argument insisting that his computer setup
works for him and he has no need to upgrade.

i pointed out of course that there isn't any budget for me to spend a
couple of hours figuring out mac OS9 IE5 fixes (especially as i don't
even have OS9 installed any more!). he pointed out that it's my job to
supply something that works..

the argument goes on. (whilst i went and banked the cheque today =)
