oh sure I totally agree with your sentiment on this. But if you do have
those contents it's helpful to use an existing scheme for keys than
reinventing the wheel on every site. Like we both agreed before, it's
no good using access keys when you have to tell users how to use the
site. If those keys link to a page on your site most closely related
to the ones the government use and those you don't have arn't reused for
an unrelated purpose, people who understand the uk government scheme can
use your site just by including a phrase pointing out you acknolodge the
scheme and use it where appropriate.
I would love to see a scheme like this adopted more widely cos I
wouldn't have to keep thinking about what keys to use and how to tell
users the ones I am using.
perhaps a future project is coming up with a consistant access key
scheme that would cover a large chunk of web sites out there. anyone
aware of a scheme to do this?
