Thanks for all the info guys, I assume landed cost means the total the
client paid for the products not they're cost here? And that can be
claimed back yeah?
Also he is importing from a non VAT state in America this doesn't affect
anything here does it? Just import cost.

p.s. If the items are being supplied by someone you know beware of
trying to
declare a low value to save on duty and VAT - if Customs believe the
value
has been misdeclared they can, and almost certainly will, impose their
own
valuation on the goods and charge duty and VAT on that basis.
