RE: FN-FORUM: Ot: More car advice
date posted 10th August 2004 16:46
I'd just like to emphasise the 'Insurance companies are evil' - got my =
first car yesterday (Corsa 1.4 SRi) after passing my test 3 weeks ago, =
and it's unbelievable how much they wanted to charge for it! Thought I'd =
hit the jackpot with a =A3690 quote online from endsleigh, but upon =
ringing up this doubled to =A31200 when they asked how long I'd had my =
licence - there wasn't even on option for licence duration on the site!
Another wouldn't even give me a quote for a SRi model with a < 1 year =
licence.
I also noted on one site that there was a saving of =A350 if you stated =
your occupation was a computer programmer, rather than a 'computer =
analyst'.
Possibly the best however was trying to register the car under the =
sheffield post code - nearly double than that of a derby postcode!
Arrrgh.

Whoops! Toyota's aren't meant to swim, you know.. (I think that's a=20
Toyota, isn't it?)
Why were you driving down what appears to be a drainage ditch/river=20
anyway? ;)
Insurance companies are evil.. :)
