A wiki is a user editable web site. - anyone can edit any page.
makes a great repository for shared/common knowledge. (they can be
difficult to navigate for newbies though)
if looked after by a community of concerned users they become very
effective.
(like the CSS-d wiki : http://css-discuss.incutio.com/?page=FrontPage)
however on the Maccaws Wiki :
(http://www.maccaws.org/wiki/index.php?page=FrontPage) I'm fighting a
running battle with spammers. which kind of makes it less attractive.
If enough people were interested and agreed to help keep it tidy I'd be
happy to set and maintain a freelancers wiki (how about allmymates.com ? )
The Tavi Wiki seems to be the most standards compliant PHP/mySQL based one.
Anyone interested?
