FN-FORUM: technical advice re XP user accounts

Hi,
I know this is the freelance mailinglist so if this questions belongs
to another mailinglist, please don't be offended and just tell me
where I better post it. In the meantime, here it goes:
I started a part time support role recently and the majority of the
issues are relating to Win2K (I know, I'll try to update them)and XP
systems not responding to the commonly known User ID's and passwords.
Due to the fact that Admin is not allowed at the clients location, how
can you reset them or ensure that the client has the ability to login
again?
One of our ideas is a bootable CD that can restore the User ID and
password for a standard user. That could be sent to the client and
reduce our support costs considerably. Any ideas how to generate this
or any quote to do this for us?
Any response and suggestion as always most welcome.
