MB/Processor/Memory combo package.
Personally I like ASUS as a make of mobo, so far they have all been =
good,
reliable and worked perfectly for me.
One of of my machines is an athlon 64 which is lovely and the other is =
an
athlon xp (2600) which is perfectly fine as well. I am not sure what =
execpt
for the newest of games really needs much more processing power at the
moment, certainly things like dvd ripping take little time.
I do not play games so personally I went for ASUS graphics cards 9600 =
radeon
se's to be exact, they are perfectly fine for my needs and support dual
monitors if needed.
Scan.co.uk had them all at a good price and has reasonable customer =
service,
ebuyer.co.uk may be slightly cheaper perhaps but I found their customer
service to be appalling so would not recommend them to anyone but those =
I
hated the most, well actually I would probably suggest dabs.com to them =
but
ebuyer would be a close second.
1Gb memory, Xp pro for the os and 250Gb hard disk would in my view be a =
good
machine, lob in a dual layer DVD burner and you have a good al round =
machine
I think.
