Hi,
The motherboard/processor combination would (if I recall correctly) be
dependent in part of the case, and what kind of motherboard can be fit into
it. How old is the PC? What make/model is the case?
That having been said, if he wants to rebuild his computer, he could
probably get a new case for well less than £50, install a new
motherboard/processor combo and then put in what parts from the existing
computer will fit/work.
