Hi Lee

Well director would be your best bet as it works well with Access and
internet connections and encryption I have a link someplace that may be
of use it an Xtra designed for Director to do just what you want!

I also know someone who might be able to help with the server and offer
the amount of bandwidth you want. For any or more info mail me off list.

Hi my name is Lee Adams

I ve been on the forum for some while now kind of an
owl just watching the mice play....

Actually did nt have a question to ask for a while I
have tried to help a few people on here outside the
forum though once in a while...

I hav skills as a Flash designer, Director cdrom
designer, Coreldraw print designer and i ve used
photoshop for donkies years.

I m currently a Games Tester for Sony fulltime 44
hours a week 4 days on 4 days off 12hrs a day so i
design on my 4 days off going to work is my playtime.

Also want to do a bit of mobile or dvd and even games
design at some point Anyhow.

Was wondering if anyone knows of a good database
program to use which can hold a lot of information
currently using Access but dont want to run into
problems with it

Looking for a program/database that links into Flash
and Flash Studio Pro the problems with Access are we
cant let it be accessed by hackers as we would put
peoples data at risk so we need to make it secure.

we can either 128 encrypt a folder or zip it up and
put a password on the zip

The other thing we need it the database to save space
on the cdrom so if it could be compressed as a lot of
information has to go on it.

Was wondering if anyone has any expierence with also
making a dynamic cdrom as where going to use various
menus and have content to load off a server. Would be
good to know the problems where going to be facing
alot ofthe time the infomation won't be more than 50k
(Graphics) maximuim 500k-1mb (Video)

We also need to know who are the best hosts to go with
as we might need a server of 5 terabytes with a good
bandwith?????

I m not a programmer but i know a man who does me just
a designer leading the project a lot of the design is
already done i ve been working on it for 10mnths now.

If you can help I would owe you a favour another time
