RE: FN-FORUM: ltd company + running a van
date posted 19th August 2004 18:24
Hi Rob
If you have a company vehicle (van or car) and you have personal use of
it (i.e. it is parked at your house) the it is a benefit in kind and is
taxable at the same level. Any fuel you use for personal use is also
taxable.
Hope this helps
Cheers
Andy

Subject: FN-FORUM: ltd company + running a van
Hi all,
a bit off topic, but does anyone know about runninga company van as
opposed
to a company car from a ltd's point of view? Can a ltd company buy the
van
and pay for its tax, insurance, mot, fuel etc and then the employee or
director pay a small amont of tax on it?
cheers
Rob
