ICS should change the properties of your network card so that the PC becomes
a mini DHCP server (with a fixed IP, usually 192.168.0.1), so make sure the
other PCs are set to use DHCP too (or they won't be able to get the settings
from the ICS PC).
Buy an ADSL router! It makes life so much easier.

Hello all,
I've set up my network, that's fine. However, I'm having trouble sorting
ICS.
In the properties of my ADSL modem I have turned on ICS, enabled
on-demand dialing and TCP/IP is set to 'Obtain an IP address
automatically' (changing the latter messes up connecting to the
internet).
So I go to the other computer and can't connect.
The frustrating thing is I've set this up before and got it working but
I can not remember how I did it. If I remember last time I solved it
totally by accident!
Can anybody assist, please?
