Run HijackThis, post the log here, let the combined might of the Freelanc=
ers
identify the bad guy, and remove it.
I recently had to remove pop-up spyware from a machine which had installe=
d
itself with a random name. This makes it very difficult for the likes of=

Adaware to identify it.
I'm now trying to get this particular piece of spyware removed at source.
I am making slow but steady progress with the ISP that provides the IP=20
address that hosts the "marketing" website. I don't think the spyware=20
solution lies in continuing the arms race between the spyware writers=20
and the anti-spyware vendors. A good start would be writing "no-malware"
terms into AUPs the way most of them now have "no spamming" clauses.
