RE: FN-FORUM: freelance single parents??

Hi Debi,
I know how tough it can be too, not a single parent, but hubby is out
between 8am - 7 or 8 pm, so I have to manage. But at least I have someone to
cook the evening meal (mostly), do the ironing (mostly) and put the bins
out - oh and decorate lol! I have to fit in school runs, extra activities
around trying to work. My two year old goes to a childminder two days per
week, but she is starting playgroup in a couple of weeks, at ?5 a session -
a bargain in London, so I'll have some more time.
We are potty training at the moment - so frequent dashes to the loo and
having to admire the latest effort in the potty. Most of my customers have
known me for ages and are quite use to the screams and interuptions, I just
say I'll call them back or put it on answer phone.
The school holidays have been a nightmare so I've been getting up at 6.30 to
get a few hours in each morning, work most evenings - can't wait for school
on Thursday. Someone mentioned baby sitting circles. I tried to get some
mums interested, but failed, not that it's a bad idea - it's creating a
group who know each other and are willing, I have some 'rules' somewhere on
how to get one working. Mum-in-law helps occasionally but my mum is too far
away.
