This might be 'as good as it gets'. But let's ask a question (or two)

You now have two routers, both (presumably) with DHCP capability. DHCP
is enabled on which one? Secondly - what brand is the other router? It
so happens I'm wrestling with a different version of this problem at a
client site and was planning to appeal for help from the network gurus
on here.
