Drupal is going to get a lot of usage and support by virtue of the fact that
it is included in Fantastico (and others), offered by many hosts to allow
"one-click" installs of open source stuff on host...

What does ipconfig /all tell you?
XP firewall is on by default on all connections with sp2. Try setting
exceptions or turning it off on the internal connection.

Why not VPN and VNC to it? Or TS/RDP will work or Dameware. There's no
remote admin as such as you need ESM and AD U&C to do anything useful.

If you want your XP box to be the gateway, run ICS on it. There's a wizard.
