RE: FN-FORUM: Plone anyone?
date posted 18th January 2005 15:58
Hi Paul
Didn't notice the post to WAUK. There's a number of people in #evolt
that used to use plone, they all appear to be favouring Drupal over it
now though. The reasons I've just been given are:
shallower learning curve,=20
more people grokking php then python,
more lightweight install so less barrier to get up and running=20
Though that was specifically why they're using Drupal instead of Plone
for the next generation of evolt.

Plone: A user friendly and powerful open source Content Management
System:
http://plone.org/
"Plone carefully follows standards for usability and accessibility.=20
Plone pages are compliant with US Section 508, and the W3C's AA rating
for accessibility, in addition to using best-practice web standards like
XHTML and CSS."
I haven't had much response on the WAUK list, so thought I'd ask over
here - anyone used it? Any thoughts?
Cheers, Paul.
