In fact, there are several people on this list who could stage such an
event themselves.

This sort of event targets large corporates and other entities rather
than the likes of us. The attendee isn't paying out of their own
pocket - the company or department is.

Instead we spend the =A3250 on something useful like new hardware (or
paying the rent) and just sit back at home with a nice cuppa tea and
follow Tony's links ;-)
