My! I see everyone's been very busy!
It was a good breakfast. Fried egg, bacon, black pudding and grilled
tomato with toast and a caf=E9 latt=E9. I notice even the little 'non
trendy' cafes will do you a decent latt=E9 these days.
I picked the Guardian and today they have this broadsheet map of
London, showing the ethnic and religious makeup of the city. It's
quite a fascinating read.
Much is well known: Aussies and Kiwis - Earl's Court/Shepherd's Bush,
Bangladeshi - Brick Lane, Jews - Golders Green, Chinese - Chinatown
;-) and so on.
However, there's much that is not so well known. Perhaps you're
looking for Portuguese restaurants or fish shops because you're
craving for nice fat sardines, you want to go to Stockwell Rd in
Brixton, South Lambeth Road or Ladbroke Grove or Goldbourne Road
(wherever that is). The Polish hang out round Balham, I see (not too
far from me) and also Kilburn High Road in North London.Seems there's
a Korean colony in New Malden (deep in SW London) and the Japanese -
Barnet which is far up in the north of the city.
Yep, I'll be keeping that.
Oops! I've gone off topic ;-)
