Re: FN-FORUM: Website invoice advice needed please!
date posted 25th January 2005 23:07
thanks for all the quick replied guys!
will help me sleep a *little* easier tonight!
although, after chasing this for nearly four months, i'm not losing
much sleep over it... fortunately i'm not relying hugely on this
invoice - but it is sizable and should be resolved!
i originally submitted a proposal that was agreed verbally. (actually
he spat on his palm and high fived me! i thought it was he was just odd
but eccentric...) included in the proposal was 1/2 day training for a
member of their staff in the phase 3 section of the proposal. i
haven't received a penny for this site, but the other two have been
paid in full.
every other stick of work has been completed - so in essence, they are
correct in saying the job isn't complete, even though they have been
messing me about as to who it is exactly i need to train!
the last guy i trained in their company for one of the other sites also
mysteriously vanished soon after the site went live... they seem to
have lost a lot of staff over these projects.
i can see the next step a little clearer now: payment for outstanding,
then completion after training. seems fair enough - but i get the
impression the cheeky buggers will then begin stalling again, as it
would appear to me they don't give a rats about the training as this
has gone on for nearly four months now.
so maybe it's next stop the solicitors. what a pain...
