Re: FN-FORUM: PDF into Indesign
date posted 1st March 2005 11:07
Hi,
If you just want to import a PDF into your document go to the 'Place'
command ctrl d (PC) or command d (Mac) and place in your page(s) as you
would a graphic. On the import dialogue box turn on the 'Show import
options' if you want import a certain page and other advanced options.
I'm sure that there are also more advanced Plug-Ins they you can get
which would give you even more freedom, probably on the Adobe site or
an InDesign User group.
The one draw back that they don't tell you, is that yo can't edit the
PDF in InDesign in any significant way except for cropping. The way
around this is to use Illustrator to open the PDF (if it hasn't a
password or security settings) and edit and save as a PDF from there.
As my ol' Gran said there are many ways to skin a cat.
I hope this helps.
