Just seen this post, so maybe I'm a bit late, but anyway...

It's just up the road from me. The crematorium's probably a bit nearer
to Knebworth than Stevenage - not much in it. However, you'll find cabs
waiting outside the station at Stevenage, but not at Knebworth. Also, a
lot of fast trains stop at Stevenage that don't stop at Knebworth, so
Stevenage is probably your best bet.
